Richard is an accomplished musician playing both piano and violin. Before joining Kenfig Hill & District Male Voice Choir in 2006 Richard had conducted many Church choirs and was principle accompanist with Cowbridge Choral Society from 2001 to 2007.
Richard’s musical taste is wide but he particularly likes all things Celtic, especially Irish and Breton and can often be heard playing the fiddle after concerts and in social events. (For the un-initiated the violin and fiddle is the same instrument it is only the music which is different, with fiddle music being the folk music from a given country and violin music referring to the classical music style).
